In addition to canned food, this collection will enable Marylou to receive a den if the goal is achieved.
Marylou is a cat that we found with her kitten. She's very skinny, doesn't have much of an appetite and lost a significant amount of hair. Nursing her kitten demands a lot of energy!
Canned food that is palatable and rich in protein would help Marylou to pick herself up again. Daily intake of the right nutrients would give her the chance to gain weight and be better prepared to look after her kitten.
As she is feral, Marylou lives outside in a damp spot. Being exposed to all weathers weakens her a little more each day. With her health issues, we're worried about her and fear she will not survive the winter without shelter...
With a den, Marylou could properly shield herself and her kitten from the harsh cold and severe weather. They would no longer be forced to sleep on the ground in all weathers and would be able to recover much easier.
Currently, we're facing many challenges. At the moment, I'm caring for over a hundred animals, several of them are sick. Donations are scarce, and with the start of the school year, people have other priorities, making our daily management even more complicated...
